otorworks Inc. is located at the Whitecourt Airport, an easy two-hour drive northwest of Edmonton, Alberta. Whitecourt has two main industries in the area, oilfield and forestry. These two areas require extensive helicopter support. Whitecourt airport is home year round for 7 helicopter operators as well as many others that operate seasonally here. Rotorworks really is based in the heart of the helicopter industry.
Rotorworks trains our graduates for the operational requirements of the helicopter industry. Our students are active with helicopter preflight and ground handling, refuelling, operations, sling load preparation and hookups, helicopter preheating including winter cover installation and removal.
Rotorworks supports operational helicopter companies with Transport Canada’s Pilot Proficiency Checks and annual training requirements for their company’s pilots. Our students get to meet operational pilots from all over Alberta, British and Manitoba on a regular basis.
Rotorworks Instructors receive annual training from Transport Canada for currency in flying, instructing techniques and regulations to ensure we are offering the best training we can to our students.
Courses attended by Rotorworks personnel factory training courses for Robinson, Eurocopter and Bell Helicopters, Transport Canada Pilot Decision Making, Company Aviation Safety Officer, Company Safety and Risk Managements, Safety Management System Program.
Between the three current we are endorsed to fly on Robinson R22, R44, R66, Bell 206, Bell 407, Bell 47, Hughes 500, Astar.
